It’s like figure skating. Only like not at all.

This is a legitimate photo of how this DVD was found. I couldn’t stop laughing at it, because people always say that drifting is like figure skating. But really… um… it isn’t. I can see a ton of correlations to other action-sports like FMX, skateboarding, or even the Red Bull Flugtag – but I never understood how people see drifting as “the figure skating of motorsports”. I mean… is it any wonder why other sectors of professional motorsports don’t take drifting seriously?

    On a related note… there is ONE professional figure skater that is a drifter, and he shreds it harder than just about anyone I know… so for he, and he alone – the figure skating reference is just.

    That's funny as hell. And figure sakting is way different….everyone always says figure skaters are gay but drifters really are. 🙂 Oh, and Andy, I miss your smell.

    admittedly, drifting would be a lot more exciting if the drivers wore spandex matador suits.
