Spent all day working on the GS today.. finally looking like a car again now.

The fusebox in the bottom right of the pic used to be in the drivers side front corner of the car, under the hood
dyed the dash blue.. no more sucky brown/tan
I've got the routing of the cage figured out. The dash wont even have to be cut much. If I keep on knocking things out like I did today, I may be putting the engine in next week in time to get get some shakedowns on it before the next DriftMB event.
Thanks guys. It has been due for an overhaul for a long time. Cant believe April 1st will be 5 yrs I have owned this car. Due to the birth of my son in September, time to work on the car has been short. I havent driven it since August and it's killing me.
After a long discussion with my teammates on DriftMB, we decided to buy the cage building eqpt and do it ourselves. So the cage will go in the GS, then Marshalls s13, then finally the Hachi I gave to my sponsor, FERDwear, to build so he can get out there with us. Then we'll start doing cages for side money to fund more mods..like..ahem..GS manual trannies.

I will talk with some of my old Supra buddies and see if any of them have or know where a 6spd may be laying around. Will a 5spd work? That is if I can find either.

the 6 speed will kill me they still run over $2k for a used one. My ballpark is an r154 (Soarer 1jz) 5 speed. Last resort is a 7m r154 with a 1jz bell housing.
The NA Supra and sc300 w58 5 speed would be DOA since I'll be making over 400rwhp by doing the swap...at 380 now thru the auto. But thanks Chad.. anything you can do..
Well I continued the wire ridding obsession tonight. I went to the storage bin where my engine is and pulled the harness off and brought home. Got off work at 9pm, got home from pulling the harness and messing with a few other things at 1030pm.. and just now finished stripping extra wires (AC, VSV's..etc.. ) and anything else not needed all the way down to the ecu pins. then I rewrapped the whole harness.
If all goes well, I'm looking at finishing the engine bay paint and making new brake lines tomorrow. Friday when I'm off, the engine will go back into the car, and then I'll tow it back here to fab up the new v mount.
