New Guy

Post by sumn3r »

hey, kinda new here but i been reading a lot of the posts on this site and it's one of the best resources for me since i want to get into drifting. i know lots of people look down on new guys like me but you guys seem nicer than people in other forums. i have a few friends who drift and i've been getting some good info from them but you can never know too much.

i recently bought a 1986 300zx. the specs are:

vg30 v6 engine (n/a)
160hp @ 5200 rpm
173ft-lbs @ 4300 rpm
open differential

i plan to learn to drift with this, but i'm planning that for the near future. FOERST, i want to learn more about cars before getting into drifting so i can do my own engine work, repairs, etc. i've been looking at a lot of sites for LSDs and suspension but they never have enough info on them so i was hoping you guys could help me out with that also. well thanks for reading, hope to get valuable input from you guys.

Welcome to the board. You have the right attitude. Get some sort of diff and hit some events. You learn faster by doing.

ah only 80k. that's a tiny bit compared with mine, 80k is good for a z31 tho. mine has like 200k on it :( but it's only for learning and it was cheap so i can't complain :).
