Well the journey was long [and I mean VERY long], but there were M coupes to smoke along the way down so it was all good. I've really got to shout out everyone who came with and everyone we met down in Miami that made this weekend rock.
From the drifters, support, shirt buyers, free food and champagne, all access passes, shady parking spots, the guys from slide or die especially, crazy bumble bee graphics, shit off word.com, smooth talking our way everywhere, good tents and bad tents, tire tread in my frozen lemonade, pit bull:P, and seeing one of our own out there on the track.... Miami just rocked.
Photos and stories will follow! The media passes definitely gave us premier access to the best photo shots. And yes, we got Tsuchiya with our shirt! We definitely had a ton of fun. Welcome to any new forum members that might have found out about us from down there. And congrats to Tony for making it to the D1 Driver Search

OMFG, what an incredible weekend!
I think this had to be the longest... and hottest weekend of my life!!!
There were ups and downs for sure, but overall an excellent experience.
I'll elaborate more a bit later... I'm sooo worn out, I can't even begin to describe.
As nobody stated...

It was a definite highlight to say hey to him (courtesy of the all-access media passes), and give him a shirt.

I did see that you called it:) Good eye! I threw some stickers up on there because tons of people were snapping shots of the car. I figured I'd might as well advertise for us, and the awesome guys at slide or die who spent the weekend with us. Tein stickers are def. coming tomorrow!

Also, dM now officially has it's own tent/shelter thingy. We loved the slide or die crew's generosity of letting us use theirs all weekend with them, so I just bought one for us. It's going to be customized with our logos and graphics, too! It will definitely save all of us from the death heat at Nopi Nationals this summer.

Hahah it totally will. It's actually the same tent as the slide or die folks', except that it's solid white [and our logos will be sillkscreened on it]. Also, to prevent any more rear quarter panel damage, you can buy these four sandbag velcro stabilizers so it won't blow away!
They're only 56 bucks which is not bad considering the damage it could save! I'm going to order those at the end of the month when I get paid again.

I was expecting to see you out at that event [actually I wanted to go up to the very sparse other media photographers and be like "Hey is your name Drew?" But I decided not to!

I am part of the DG crew as well as running Blitzkrieg Media. The DG people are good guys once you get to know them. I grew up with one of the owners Matt Petty.
We'd like to go to houston, but unless we can snag some super cheap flights, I don't see it happening. You honestly didn't miss much down in Miami-- the event was great but poorly planned, and if you were a spectator without a Media pass [which we had luckily] you had to view the drifting from behind two half size concrete walls with chain link fences 15 feet high. We did get some good photos that hopefully will be put up tonight on the site.
Kyle and Erik were the DG guys that were there and they definitely were great guys. They definitely helped us in with tons of redbull, laughs, and sharing the denting tent.

Yea, Eriks the CEO and runs the show in the south, Matt and Rich run the show up north. It stinks you guys/girls wont be able to make it to FD in Houston.
