AndySapp: Thanks, bro. Yep, dat's the Rolla. Nobody here does wire tucks, so I figured I'd start a trend. Most Indonesians definition of a dressed up engine bay is something along the lines of, "more is better." More colors. More wires. More stuff.
Codes: Yeah, work is sucking hard for me too. Trying to stay on top of everything can be difficult.
So nobody's gonna flame me on the ghetto super short ram? Or the upside down heat shield on the filter? Or the red motor mounts? At least I have an excuse for the motor mounts, those are RBI Sport motor mounts (with super-hard Teflon inserts), and they only come in that color, and I was too lazy to paint 'em before sticking 'em in.
MattS13: Coldest it gets here is about 28 Celsius. Which is like high 80 F if I'm not mistaken.
Quazar: Yeah, in SE Asia the Corolla along with the Lancer is the choice poor boy racer car to mod. 7A-GE Frankenstein swaps, custom turbo setups, and twincharged 4AGZTE engines abound. The most popular gen Rolla to mod is actually the AE101 or "Great Corolla." By the AE111 gen, or "All New Corolla," which is what I have, the Corolla's image had begun to shift to a midrange semi-luxury four-door.
I've already tried polishing up the bay with some low cut compound, but the engine bay paint is pretty much gone from 11 years of hard driving and hot outside temps. I'm getting it detailed next week, but it looks like I'm pretty much gonna have to repaint the bay. All the more reason to shave it, he he!
