That's pretty close. That was the FOERST time I drove Josh's car before we built it up for FD, memory is faded... but it had little power then. It was still stock turbo, stock side-mount intercooler and/or no boost controller. It snapped the trans because of the twinplate clutch. It consumed a second trans at Black Hills not long after (output shaft that time) and was promptly removed. .quazar311 wrote:JJ..
that red car was Josh's (a friend from Finishline) old car.. if my memory serves me correctly..it was later Tony's 2nd Yellow FormulaD car. It was later sold in ImportAtlanta.
It was SR-powered and it snapped the input shaft on the tranny that day. It had enough power.
Lanier : trans
Long Beach : Fuel tank "speed holes"
Black Hills - trans #2
Road ATL - fuel pump
Chicago - turbo
Sonoma - rings
Seattle - motor&trans mounts
Jersey - crash (oops, my bad)
NOPI - rod bearings
Irwindale - Sae, erm uhm... nevermind
It did make it though a pair of HIN demos with little more than a leaking tranny seal at one.
Hmm, that was a really crappy season. I still
