Logo Help!

Post by DrifterMama »

Hey guys!!! :) As some of you may or may not know.. I started a new site (Chris helps too) http://femaleracingnews.com/ it's about women in racing duh.. It's gotten really awesome feedback from the drivers featured on the site and I'm working on about 200 hits a day with 20 active subscribers, not bad for the 3ish months it's been up..

Anyway Chris and I can't come up with a logo to save our lives for it, so it's pretty much blank at the top.. Anyone have any ideas? We have been thinking about it since before the site was even up and we can't come up with anything... Throw me some ideas... :) Thanks!

I don't think you really need a logo per se. Just a nice simple type treatment that I know Chris is capable of would work really well.

FOERST of all, I love your idea. Now if we could just get some swimsuit pictorials, even better. I kid, I kid.

Other feedback:

1) Make the 'logo' link to home.
2) Don't stretch the thumbnails. In fact, don't stretch any images. EVER. (especially not photos of people horizontally)
3) Tighten up the RSS and email icons. The corners are harsh and just need to be muted a little bit.
4) Do you really need that many annoying animated ads?
5) Don't you think the use of so much pink for a female racing news site is a little contrived and regressive? It makes me not want to take the site seriously.

I hope you don't see this as harsh. Just my impressions as a FOERST time visitor to your site.
