Suspension Decision: little advice
My plan (given that my car is running properly) is to actually participate in the Civil War in October. But, I don't want to do this on stock suspension components. And b/c I'm somewhat financially limited, I have to make a decision.......springs&struts or roll bars and/or strut bars.
which do you think would the most beneficial in my case? Or is there an option that I'm over looking?
thanks for any input guys.

but seriously, i'd go w/ springs and struts too. that's all i have now and it makes for a pretty good combo, but i will add more stuff eventually.
I appreciate the input guys. I was leaning towards springs and struts anyway and this only supports my decision.
i'm going to start shopping around for a descent (yet inexpensive) set in the next couple days. who knows.....maybe I can get those and some braces before the event *fingers crossed*

konico i think that is how you spell it, is a good set of shocks there adjutable i think 5 way. All you do is just turn a nob on top veru easy to do, and the ones on my crx were only 450 for all four. Cheap springs can be had all day long but i would maby not buy them and invest in some realy good stiff sway bars insted they will make your car work much better than any springs on the market. Then is you can aford it you can buy the springs last. Also a LOT of people fall into the trap that they need unper strut braces, most cars dont need them i do not know what kind of car you drive but chances are the the suspension geometry doent put any stress on top. All honda and toyotas do not need them and some nissans dont, lol just look at some pics of a type R integra scca ITA car they even take the factory uper brace of to save waight its only a cosmetic peice.

i think you should get a diff. with a diff you can rip it up even on a stock body stock sus car. if it is a drift event, that is. which i kinda assumed. any ways i have always been a diff guy, from past ex. the problem with stock sus is usually that it is too soft and generally tends to make the car tuck on the outside rear tire, when sideways and accelerating. when this occurs a stock diff tends to let that tire regain traction ( safety feature, in design ) when that tire regains traction it brings the rear end of the car back in... ruining your line. a good 1.5 way diff would fix that problem. then you can wait on sus.
thats just my 2cents. if you still stick with the original idea, i would go with the sus.

i have the stock dif. granted, its not worth a shit, buts a dif none the less.
Cody informed me of someone selling Takico Blues an Tanabe springs on Zilvia for about $375. So I may check into that.
