Both have their advantages personally I drive a FR but would own a nice AWD.

FR can be good for drag also. If an FR took on a AWD with the same amount of HP and same skill driver, the AWD would be likely to win short distance cause the FR would be spinning its tires while the AWD is moving. In a long distance I think the FR would evntually catch up, because its using its power to move 2 wheels instead of 4. I think that would give it a bit of an edge. This is just my opinion, I could be completly wrong.ChunkeyMunkey1580 wrote:Drift: FR Drag: 4wd That's just the way i see it
AWD are also very dick in drift. Thats the reason people use STI's and Evos for rallies. They are just good. You can also make a AWD drift on cement, u just need practice and balls.
So back to the question, FR vs AWD? Id take a AWD cause they can still drift, they are good for rallies and I have a bit of redneck in me that loves to drive thru mud and things where a FF or FR would get stuck.

point taken that the rear wheel drive might catch up, i do agree with that because drive train loss is an important factor. but riddle me this. what happens when those same to cars with the same drivers and the same power go at it again 800 horses later. the rear wheel drive car would have spent three times the money in sus alone just to keep it on the ground through the FOERST four gears where as the 4wd would have spent one third and the rest on a vacation to japan catch the sights. you have a good point but i argue a lot. please do not take this as an insult because it is not.
