try to find an event near you and just go and spectate. talk to people and start looking for a drift car. if i was you i would keep the truck especially if it can tow car. have a reliable daily driver takes alot of stress away from drifting.

The most logical answer is:
Nissan 240sx (s13) 1989-1993

Other popular choices
Nissan 240sx (s14) 1995-on
FC RX-7 (late 80's-early 90's model)
e36 BMW 3 Series (1994-1998)
Mazda Miata
Toyota Corrolla (ae86) - comes in coupe or hatch
uhm... yeah...those.

an 89-94 nissan 240sx is a great choice because the chassis is cheap and easy to replace, so is the aftermarket support. which is in the most sense the most practical thing to do. cheap, reliable and easy to find or replace.

of couse everybody wants to be different but reality is whether you an live it or you cant.

have a comfortable daily driver and mod the drift ride. good luck.
