So, it looks like she finally decided to go. I think the head gasket went on the e46 right after Xmas. The car sounded like a Subaru, and was knocking on the bottom end. I had her taken back to my garage on a flat-bed, where she'll prolly sit until I can figure out what route I'm headed with her.
Budget will be an issue... I'm actually leaning towards a built BMW N/A 3.0L motor over anything crazy at this point. One thing I've LOVED about this 2.5L is that it has been as reliable as a sunrise. I started drifting with this motor at about 40K... and the odometer is over 121K now. She's withstood over 80K miles of abuse!!1

Yeah... LSJUANN would be rad... but I don't think I want to embark on a major project with it. I'd like something with more power, but something that will bolt up for the most part. We'll see how things go.
