as much as i tend to favor SR's, i think turbo'ing yours might not be a bad idea. you can save yourself yet another engine swap and since it's so new it would probably hold up fine and take nicely to the boost. then you'll have a fast truck :).

*mulling over a bad idea...*
I wonder how much of these ideas can carry over to AE86 land. Find me a smallish turbo and push 4-6 lbs of boost, and use a piggyback ecu to richen up the mixture by a scalar factor and increase the spring rate on the AFM sensor... I'll need new injectors, and the fuel pumps from any DSM will work on my corolla.
Now all I need is to figure out the header woes... or I could just have the turbo hangin' low... I don't think it'd be too low to get oil.
*sings* my corolla breaks down more than your corolla!

I also found this thread pretty informative:

I think my biggest issue would be finding a manifold. everything else seems pretty cheap and simple.

*keep in mind that I'm a poor college student. thus the cheap DET setup.
Hmmm... something about this setup sounds funny to me.
