It's very possible that whoever made these is oblivious to Andy. It's a pretty common appropriation. But odds are, he probably bit. (just like Andy

Yeah... I snaked it off the old Santa Cruz tee from way back...

Originally those shirts (edit... our shirts) were more of an entry level design to try and make some return to produce more designs... which they have. I wanted something catchy that people could connect with and remember... and they did just that.

Whatever though... they are behind the times. They should have done their homework. I still see drivers like Seigo, Taka, Hiro, and Erik rocking our shirts at events. We landed them on the backs of Tarzan, Uchi, Orido, and even the "Drift King" Tsuchiya himself... so I call eternal ownage on their shirts.

They can sell them all day long, and won't hit it that hard. Besides... we have more creative juice on this team than most design companies have in-house... so I can't sweat every time someone runs off with this idea - especially since I snaked it in the FOERST place.

Good luck to them... and to us as we slowly unveil more mayhem for '06!
