Matt came over before the private event and fixed the oilpan with one of these guys. (THANKS MATT!!)

Then, the next night... I started installing my TMS oil temp flange... and LeatherZ oil distribution block.

Got the flange in hella easy. Matt drilled it out and tapped it to fit the VDO sender... because for some reason it was too small or too big out of the box.

We couldn't quite get the oil block on the car. We tried... but it shot oil all over the garage when we started the car. The piece didn't come with instructions... and the PDF on their site looks like this:

Um. Really? Why wouldn't you include instructions no matter what? I e-mailed them the next day, and they proceeded to tell me that they only give detailed instructions out if you buy the WHOLE gauge kit. I didn't need to buy the whole thing... because I've had everything to do this install (sans distribution block) since 2004. I politely responded and said that makes zero sense from a customer service standpoint. He snapped back and said the site clearly states this. I'm still sitting here like SO WHAT?! How is this any way to treat your customers?
He sent me a Word document back that basically said 'install in place of factory switch and torque to 29.5 ft-lbs'. That really does no good... because due to the nature of installing a rotatable part with a bolt... that part can go on 359Ëš in the wrong direction. All I needed was a goddamn photo of the completed install for reference to make sure we were doing it right (or wrong). Too much to ask? Apparently.
Luckily a dude on E46Fanatics posted pictures if his install... so we're gonna try that again this weekend. It really grinds my gears that event the simplest shit on this car turns into some kinda of major hassle. I should be used to it by now, I guess.
