Hell yeah I'mma feel you.
So Matt did hella rewiring tonight. The O2 sensors we pulled out of the car had sliiiiightly melted together where the heat shrink was. QC and I ran to get two upstream Bosch O2 sensors, and Matt ran the wires in such a way to keep the heat at bay.
The GREAT news is... the Service Engine Soon light is off. The car idles much better, and felt great to drive. The bad news is... after two runs down the street a mile and back... I punched it in 3rd to about 80 (I think... speedo is out)... BAM... limp mode. It scared the shit out of me. It was really loud, and kinda out of nowhere.
The speed sensor A code is in the scanner. Tomorrow I'm going to try and pull all the sensors and see if that works like Freddy was suggesting. I'm also going to try and get the emissions done STAT. I will be really happy if I can get this car tagged again.
I'm not telling what the new toy for the car is until she's running right.
Until then... she doesn't get playtime. She's on time-out.

is it very possible that the limp mode was triggered by the speedo being out?
glad you are getting it worked out brotha.. try some DEI heat wrap sleeves on the o2 sensor cables..
