The Collage to End ALL.

REAL FAMILY.

I put this crazy seamless ensemble of memories together specifically for the background of this blog. I wanted it to be a throwback to old thrash metal albums that had band mayhem plastered everywhere in a cut-n-paste fashion. There are a LOT of great memories in this image… and a LOT of great people. I can’t get over it – and I can’t stop looking at it.

Thanks to everyone for all of the amazing memories, photos, and most of all… camaraderie.
DriftMechaniks is the very definition of family… and this insane montage is the proof.
There is PLENTY more to come… that is FOR SURE.

Good Morrow Gentlemen.

Salutations ladies and gentlemen. I’m Alex and I’m new to the Driftmechaniks family. This is my lady.

I’ve been living in the colonies for 4 years and have just completed my degree in Graphic Design. One thing I’ve noticed is that it’s amazing how much cheaper it is to run/own /insure cars is out here, which his how I’ve found myself in the highly accessible motorsport culture.

In 2006, I started with this.

It’s still a lot of fun owning a police car. People slow down for the most part and that searchlight comes in handy. While I was heading downtown one day, I passed Turner Field. I heard tires screeching so I looked over the bridge and witnessed grassroots drifting for the first time. Little did I know, 2 years later, I’d be in their position. Driving the Interceptor was getting boring, so in 2008, I picked up this.

treefiddy

Driving this in the mountains is a blast. But I still hungered for drifting and didn’t want to damage this. January 27th 2009, I got my drift beater.

Random Car Pics

OK this is how this works. I spend a LOT of time on the internets looking for cool cars. I save the pictures. I post them. Do not expect any information. Pictures and lots of them. This is kind of a tradition, including a 350+ page thread of nothing but random sweet cars on the forum submitted from everyone in the family. I find them, I post them. Here we go:
