Post by struka »

What did the cop say? Or did u just say, "Dude, read my sticker, Driftin is not a crime!!! So suck on that officer!" hehehehe
So, let's hear some stories.

Hahaha... "talk to the sticker, yo... cause the driver aint' listenin!"

I know a friend of mine got arrested, and as the cop was closing the door, he told him to take that sticker off his car, because drifing is a crime... then he slammed the door. -Ouch.

I've had many many many many close calls. One time the officer said I should be careful since I had a lady friend in the car, and I could flip my car and decapitate her head & go to jail for life.

Another time more than 13 squad cars bum rushed us in a culdesac. They thought we were street racing. We were chatting it up while our cars cooled down... so they let us go.

yeah Friday I was in court and in one of the cases before me this woman pleaded not guilty for loitering in a public place. It was this nice 50's something black woman who tried to explain to the judge that her and her husband had been arguing and just pulled over to talk about it in a gazebo at a park in their neighborhood, but since it was after 9pm this dorky little napoleonic redneck cop (of course with a molestache) gave them a ticket for it. The lady told the judge (as well as the cop at the scene) that there was no signage so they didn't know. She even had pictures. The judge laughed about it and dismissed it. The porky dweeb just walked out embarrassed. I do not hate cops at all but a LOT of them are just not responsible with authority.

Yeah word some cops are just stupid, the judge in my case looked at the thing and was like "vandalisem lets not waist our time with this please" then asked me if i spun my tires and i said yes and he said ok then just pay the fine. But the cops in chattanooga are crazy they take people to jail like it is going out of style and the judges are getting pissed at listening at stuff that a sipmle sitation would be in order.

Back in New york... Deer park avenue(DPA) is a pretty big hangout for tuners. One night we were at this train station over there... There were honestly like 200 cars there... just on a regulat saturday night.

We talked one of the kids in our group into drifting... He sucked at FOERST... but the FOERST turn he actually ripped... A few cops "just so happened" to be passing by.

He got nailed for wreckless driving... Me and the other guys from the group(importfanatix) actually had to go bail him out... after we actually got out of the parking lot.

Anyway... About 20-30 cop cars came out of nowhere and closed off the 200 people in the parking lot. We were stuck in there for about 3 hours while the cops gave the majority of us equipment tickets and whatever else they could slap us with.

Apparently it was some sort of "Sting" operation to discourage us from hanging out there anymore.

Ouch dude, I use to hang out at DPA before I moved. I go back home and it's the Beltway for me if I want to race. But there is the water overlook for those who want to just hang out. Then there's an exit, off of the BQE, you drive off of that for less than a block and bada-bing, instant crowd participation. Lot's of tuners hang out here. It's pretty awesome.

Anyway,

I have a court date on the 3rd of december for reckless driving. But that was for speeding not drifting. One of my team members has a court date on the same day for reckless driving and his WAS for drifting. This one was almost setup. We were in a parking lot, WAY BACK IN the BACK of society, so there's no way that people heard or saw us. Out of now where, 6 units roll up code 2 (lights and/or 10mph over posted speed) and we're were like, "SPLIT" most of us got away, but we noticed that at our rally point, we were missing one. So we decided to get in the safest car, Angel's (HAHAHAHAHA), and we drove BY the spot. We finally parked at a gas station up the hill and about 30 mins later, he rolls up and while parking he flashes his court summons. Reckless Driving In A Parking Lot. Although, the kicker is, he's going to beat it, because no officer actually witnessed us drifting, so he's got no evidence.

Another good one is when me and my vice president we're simply playing around in a parking lot doing donuts, burnouts and mild-drifts, when we decided to rest for a minute. While resting, we heard sirens in the distance. But they were WAY off so we brushed it off with a grain of salt. The sirens grew louder, and we noticed it immediately. We looked at each other and decided that they were coming to our general direction and decided to get up outta dodge. While driving, we noticed 8, count em, 8 units rolling code 3 (lights, sirens and/or 10mph over the speed limit) towards the direction we just came from. One or two units shine their spot lights on our cars as we drive by, and that triggered it! We each downshifted and were gone before they could even get their lights off. Needless to say we managed to get back in the boondocks of Sleepy Hallow (the rd not the movie  ) and we hid off by a forest line. We stayed there until we determined the coast clear then we said our farewells threw up the dueces and each headed home. A peculiar thing about that was, there was a helicopter (a very noticeable police helicopter) flying by and he also shined his light on our cars. So when he flew away, we decided that it was time to go home.

I figured that as long as I get my car back on base, the civilian police couldn't do anything, the MP's could, but they'd have to actually have seen me, and even then, Henderson Hall is tiny, so I'm cool with all of PMO, no problems there.

Take Care,
-Dave

oh yeah, that reminds me of the time i was riding down the road and i almost ran over a pink elephant but my car sprouted wings and i flew over him, only problem was that an F16 was flying through the area so i had to dodge his missile fire because he thought i was an enemy MIG. so i pulled a loop de loop and landed at the home of Keichii Tsuchiya who taught me how to do the "super lime scented JDM slip'n'slide drift" all while eating 99 cent taquitos from QuickTrip and drinking a giant slurpee.
