well i just picked up a rear end out of a GTUs model RX7. the GTUs rear end has a 4.33 gear ratio and a viscous LSD. my NA rear end has 4.10 gears and an open diff. so it looks like i'll be able to start drifting the FC and the shorter gears should help in breaking the tires loose in higher gears. i'm pretty stoked right now. i'm also adding a ton new grounds to the motor to hopefully get rid of my electrical gremlin i have right now.

PS. the car now has a black primered front end on it. for those of you that saw the before with the 3 different shades of blue, the car is now only 2 colours, black and blue.

the diff cost me 250 and i payed 68 to have it installed where i work. (i work at a toyota dealership.)

the car definately feels faster according to the butt dyno. i'm loving the LSD as well.

The only bad thing about the 4.33 is your top speed will be like a 100mph maby, but hey at least it will get there quick. My old miata had like a 4.11 i think and it was hell on the interstate at 80mph and like 4000rpm.

you will still hit 140 in the fc w/ 4.33, the fb has 4.40 and a T2 trans still hits 140

at 70mph on the highway in 5th i'm only at about 3000rpms so i've still got lots left top end. i never get over 130mph anyways. most of my fun is in the mid RPM range anyways at auto-x's and such.

So how is everything feeling? Breakin' her loose five times a day yet?
