Tire pressure for sliding
i have no real knowledge about tire pressure and the effect it can have on the level/type of grip available to you.
I know every set of tires is different and everybody has their own slide style, but as a low powered beginner with cheap tires, what are some methods you would recommend.
I am thinking that w/low power i should jack up the pressure quite a bit to make it easier to slide, i have kept the pressure @30-35 & after reading project car mag this month i see how i have a lot to learn. i have found it very hard to lose traction and keep my wheel speed up and end up just bogging out of a drift & straightening out

I run at street tire pressures. Like 34 psi hot. If your bogging you need to go faster. What diff are you running? Throw project car magazine in the trash.

understeer, lower front pressure a little at a time.
not getting oversteer, raise rear pressure a little at a time.
with my limited knowledge of drifting in an NA car, you really have to play with pressures and be constant with your tire selection.

basically it all depends on what you are running and how the car is responding/driving right?
i've got a Nismo 2 way. i run all different kinds of tires & now that have an air compressor to bring to the events i guess i'll just play with the pressures a bit.
i know i have been over driving the shit outta the car, i really, really need to just relax with my steering input and actaully learn the "steer from the rear" thing.
i know i need to go faster but that will require alot more parts. other than getting coils & a great clutch (thinking comp clutch flywheel/stage3 - for growing room) i just want to learn to do well with what i have. other needing a clutch i think my car's capability is far above my ability right now.
