Sucks you're not allowed to use them. Are you not allowed because you'll be selling the dvd? I know when we got out media passes to DriftShowoff in Miami, we were strictly told that we couldn't sell any of the footage/pictures we got. I guess Option video retains all the rights when they're there.
Either way... We'd love to see some footage!!!

Yea, we can take and use pics, and take and not use film. Whether we are selling the DVD or not, Formula D, Drift Showoff, and D1GP dont allow use of any footage of the event, unless you speak with them and get a rights form, which is next to impossible (Channel5 news or some shit).
We can use pics on event coverage all we want though,

People post video footage *all* the time though. As long as you don't sell it, I don't see a problem with putting it online.

Formula D is a lot more lax with it...if you are a company competing, or have special rights to film you are allowed to. You arent supposed to film and sell it, or post it anywhere, unless you are in the stands (this is for media only, due to the fact that by posting it, your giving away some of there coverage area, thereby making it "pointless" to by there DVD). D1GP however, will not let anyone bring video cameras inside the show. The security wasnt that good this year though, so a lot of people got in, and a lot of people (like me) took movies on digital cameras.
Its just copyright rules. They run it so they make them.

I just gave Andy a cd of the few photos I took so maybe those will be up soon. They are mostly formula d awards banquet and after party shots and a few track shots, though.

I got the best shot of the introduction to top 16 of Ernie Fixmer from inside the hairpin...when i get a chance to pull it I will so everyone can see it. It is a doo-Z.
