currently running a set of K-sports and I really dont care for them at all, looking to get a different set in the near future, kinda leaning towards a set of pants AL+Pro or the GR+ or a set of Meagan coilovers.
mainly just wanting some input as to what everyone else is running and how they like them and what spring rates they are running. Seems like the heaviest I can find is 8kg front 6kg rear.

K-sports sucked balls when I had them. Bouncy and not valved well at all.
My Megans have been fine so far!
Most people seem to love their stances too.

I had my k sports like 2 weeks when one of the adjusters stripped out, and now another one has... just fed up with them
meagans are def cheeper but I hear real good things about both of them so....

i ran megans because they are cheap. they were good enough for me.
i would get pants because i hear they are made in korea and i've only heard one negative thing about them ever.
if money was no object i would get DG5 coilovers.

lol I wish it was no object, how much are the DG5s, had a hard time finding a sight with them for sale, google search returned a bunch about kumakubo's spring rates dampeners ect...
so what about a good spring rate for a good drift set up on an s13, 8kg front and 6kg rear?

8/6 is what I run and it works for me.

Im very happy with my GR+Pros but I dont have anything to really compare them against.

8/6 seems to be pretty common from what I find, the silk road coilovers are really the only thing I've found with a heavier spring 9/7 however you only have 10 way dampening adjustment vs 15 or 32 way with the other brands...just a thought but would a heavier (9 vs's 8kg) benefit me more since I am running an RB?
isn't the only real difference in the GR's and the AL+Pros the fact that the AL's are supposed to weigh less?(less unsprung weight)

When I got my GRs they came with a set of the 9/7ks included too.

pants GR+ Pro, 8/6, very satisfied. Dampening is on point.

I have yet to be in a situation to require them. They make great bookshelf ends.

tein coils= overall i dont like them and wont buy another set.......
cusco coils= so damn stiff and only 5 way adjustable......
pants coils= love them love them love them. very responsive. ride quality is great...little bouncy, but you dont buy coils for their stock like handling. they drift flat as hell. very little body roll is felt or seen.
i know you werent asking about the teins or cuscos, but have driven on them so posted up my thoughts on them.

I appreciate the input on the cuscos and tein I looked at a few of those... and I was unaware that the pants came with a 2nd set of coils?
i suppose if i was to buy a set i could just play around with the heavier coils up front and see what works best.
only question I see in regard to the pants coilovers is; Are the AL+Pro's worth the extra 400 for less unsprung weight? I havent really found any specs as to how much less they weigh vs the GR's

kinda what I was thinking, that extra 400 could buy several extra sets of tires....
