• NOPI Alternative event at AMS hosted by AMS. Same weekend.

Even though NOPI has canceled their biggest event for the past 20 years, AMS is still going to have it. They will be hosting it themselves with the help of the locals. You can still look forward to drifting, car show and array of other activities. Specifics are being discussed and will be released shortly. Please keep your calendar empty for the 3rd weekend in Sept. as usual (which is Sept 20-21)! I will post more when the details become available. For now I know that the drifting will be open to all drivers, not just pros (hopefully with tandem).....so get your cars ready and save your tires, because it will be a 2 day event.

If you have any suggestion on sponsors (or want to sponsor the event) or type of things you would like to see incorporated into the event or if you would like to volunteer to work the event, let me know and I will pass along the information. Also media can contact me for now and I will see how we are to handle that. I can be reached at tracy@batlground.com

Car club people, feel free to contact ma and I will make sure we have the details of whether or not there will be reserved areas for big clubs (like NOPI usually has).

Long Story Short: NOPI Canceled and AMS is still having an event on that weekend anyways.

Can we get rid of the incessant rap music playing at top volume throught the entire facility...and cut the bikini contests down to one...and require MOST of your teeth to participate?
