ok it's definitely cancelled:(

Who wants to go up to the national park gravel service roads and mess around? I know Sam or Jason might be down for this! You don't have to bring your cars if you're too pussy about your paint. But I really need to get some more action shots for the feature articlce on my car, and some video footage for HIN and my driver profile video.

Would anyone be down to go out there and maybe picnic and take some footage and take turns riding along in the gravel with me?:)

I'm down for that. It sounds a lot safer than driving through a hurricane.
If you really really want to drive down to the rally, I'll support you with that as well... whatever you decide to do.

nobody, sucks about that freakin hurricane. It would be awesome to rally in a hurricane though. Left plus 1, HOUSE! Hahaha, like Twister.

Forest service roads where? I'm assuming in a state or national park. Don't know if I'll show, but I'm always on the look out for some nice dirt or gravel.

I'm very passively trying to get a rallycross set up here. Once school starts back next week, I'm gonna email the head of the Clemson Sports Car Club and see if he is at all interested. Still have no idea where we would do it though. Anders from last weekend said that's the hardest part of having a rally. He's got a nasty impreza rally car with a 3.0 liter dropped in from an Outback. Holy N/A power! He was flying.

Is this rally north of you? If so just get in front of the hurricane and pitch the sti sideways and let the wind carry you up there. It would be the long AWD drift in history

Seriously if you are gonna try to go threw high winds, I suggest you drop the sti as low as possible.

even with the rally cancelled, it turned out ok in the end. Since we couldn't find the forest roads, we hit up an abandoned construction area up in Dahlonega, GA and played around in the dirt for a bit. Got some cool video footage which will get posted eventually. here's some stills.

This one I spotted driving down highway 60. I was sad that we couldn't find the forest roads....and I spotted a gravel path through two walls of high orange clay. I said to Andy-- There's some dirt! let's go! come on it'll be fun! so we did:)

Jason, my car felt fine afterwards to be honest with you. Right now my rear swabar has a busted endlink on the lefthand side so that thing clunks around and generall sounds like ass [you can hear it in the videos really bad]. Combined that with my totally fucked alignment right now [thank you brick yard rally!] and my car drives sort of crappy [if i let go of the wheel, my car veers all the way to the right].

Once I can get an end link I'm going to buy new tires and go to gte to get my situation fixed. I'm just having a nigthmare finding some, because i hear the whiteline ones are crap from several people who have experience with them. I really want the perrin solid metal endlinks but they supposedly don't fit the sti [or so the site says].
