ok...that's the last straw!!!!!!!! NASCAR needs to die!
SPEED airs nothing buy NASCAR shows anymore...its rediculous. I emailed a conplaint about their lopsided programing, but need less to say I never heard or saw a response.

Personally...I think the WRC is going to be next big thing. So Speed Channel is really cutting themselves, and us, short by taking it off the air.

I miss SpeedVision.

I understand that FOX has air rights to NASCAR and NASCAR is the largest spectator sport now but why make these new changes? I guess its not because the ratings are bad its because the rating for NASCAR will certainly be more. When they bought Speedvision they dumped the airplane and boat stuff in favor of NASCAR and kept WRC, F1 etc. Thats all well and good, well unless you a boat or plane guy. My real question is why don't they just create a new channel thats all NASCAR related programming? Golf has its own channel. They have enough material to do it. So why not? Is it really that much easier to strip a good channel with suppoerters than to try and create a new brand identity? Unfortunatly I think it is to FOX.

last i had heard-mitsubishi, peugot, skoda, and possibly citreon were all backing out of WRC for atleast one year. this leaves subaru and ford to duke it out. that and a good chance for privateers to break into top five pretty oftenly.

with speed channel already pushing WRC highlights into late night with only one run of the episodes, the news of the different companies backing out for research and whatnot only convinced them that it wasnt worth their time.

assholes. wonder if anyone at speed channel ever considered that the lack of coverage of WRC and other rally events here in the states would explain the possible low ratings. coverage coverage coverage.

i would run WRC at like 4pm-5pm then again at 10pm-11pm, then one last time for the late niters at like 2am-3am and also play the last events highlights FOERST at 1am-2am. oh well.

OLN has been playing coverage of drakar, so maybe they will cover WRC also. i hope

starting to wish i had a pc. wrc.com offers a internet subscription. with the subscription you get rally highlights, all coverage of individual cars (inside and outside cams) plus lots of other videos that show cg layouts of the track and visual car vs car times. plus pics galore. oh and interviews.

all that for like 80 a year. bit pricey but oh well. must have WRC. oh wait......i dont have a pc dammit.

ah guys sorry i wasnt clear enough~ if you want to watch day coverage from europe for each rally, visit my friend and yours stanis and shacki's website and love them for what they do. its all .avi so i think mac's can get hooked up as well. only problem is that they limit your dl's, so you can only really get two rally's per day~

Yeah, I found out about this on the Friday before.

It sucks. There is a petition online to get it back, but I don't think it will do much.

I HATE the lack of rally coverage. But I can still go to Sandblast! And Cherokee Trails! Go local rallies!

Maybe someone will pick it up mid-season.

Go Ford and Marcus, even though I can't watch it.

rallye like all racing has it's high and low points. right now every manufacturer besides Ford and Subaru have pulled out. In 5years it will be hot shit again. Just remember when it was at it's peak, I ruled the skies

according to WRC.com-i am completely wrong. subaru, mitsubishi, ralliart italy, kronos total citreon, bp ford, red bull skoda, astra racing, omv peugot and stobart vk ford are running this year. so far gronholm is in the lead after winning in monte carlo. so it would seem everything is tip top in WRC.

oh and gronholm has changed to ford.

if you pay attention to your list above, the majority are privateer teams which means the REAL cars that the manufacturers put in are significantly scaled down. Also, Mitsubishi is a confirmed withdrawl for '06 season so any Mitsu you see on the leaderboard is a privateer.

well atleast gigi gali is driving for ralliart italia. means he will still be tearing shit up in 06.
