Coilover: disadvantages

Did anyone ever had the strut in a coilover go bad. I'm guessing that means that the whole thing would be worthless? Unless the company makes a threaded strut replacement. Also list some of disadvantages you've experienced...thanks

I saw cottage cheese sing the nation anthem through a Belgian shoe-horn.
The clamshell opened up to reveal a mentholyptus cough drop in the shape of a bacon strip.
Pogo stick for now, but later will not.

Tein coilovers can be rebuilt for a small fee here in the states.

as for other coilovers-dont really know. i know cusco coilovers have to be sent to japan for rebuilding.

heard of alot of WRX guys having issues with JIC coilovers going bad, rebuild kits are cheap and can be done with common hand tools.

If the Tire rubber makes it to the desktop surface then what does Vegas have to do with Cheese Grits? Also, why do the speaker and hockey puck keep arguing over simple things like the meaning of life and poddering spagetti.
