SEDA Promotion -- Drift For Free :: Here's How ->

SEDA has noticed that a lot of its members and those in the drift community are eager to get drift events in their home states/cities. However, SEDA doesn't have the man power to comb the entire southeast looking for possible venues. This is where you come in. If you know of an ideal location to host a drift and/or gymhkana event then follow these four easy steps :
1. take as many pics/vids as possible of the venue.
2. Do what you can to obtain a point of contact…..someone that we can contact to discuss price, availability, etc. Their full name, email address and/or phone number is preferred.
3. Get a physical address for the venue (no p.o. boxes). We will use this address to view the venue via Google Earth.
4. Send all this information to Chris Rhoad via email (chrisrhoad@southeastdrift.com).

From that point, SEDA will determine if the venue that you have discovered will be suitable for our needs. If the venue is suitable and we are able to lock it down for an event, the person that discovered and emailed us with the info will be entitled to drift in that particular for free; no questions asked.

Please do not try to “sell” the venue on behalf of SEDA. We have special personnel and documentation that are specifically designed for that purpose. All that we ask, is that follow the list above and nothing more.

If you have any questions or concerns, please direct them to chrisrhoad@southeastdrift.com

Thank you,
SEDA Management

interesting. i've been actually thinking about something similiar for awhile, of setting up an event in Huntsfail. the SCCA chapter has gotten a new location for their autox (stadium parking lot) and i've been thinking of approaching them to see if they would cosponsor an event so that we could obtain the venue and maybe help with insurance and whatnot. i'll look into it some more. to bad i don't have a car... hmm maybe i'll gather some 16/17" tires and convince my friend to let me unleash the fucking fury in his 400hp bomsex mkiii

edit: i'm not gonna approach them, i'll let you SEDA folk do that, but i'll get pics and whatnot of their venue and send them to you next time i head over that way. /// btw that is my proposed Fd car w00t

more pics to come when i stop being lazy and upload them

i keep seeing that little lot that andy mentioned a while back out in conyers/covington, maybe it could work (it's not huge but the upsides are it's local and there is an "available" sign on it).

uh...i'm not sure, that could be it though. it's a couple of minutes past the salem road exit (on the left if you're heading east on 20), slightly into covington.

werd playa! yeah, i was just joking around one day like, hey your car is already half stripped, lets shove a cage in it and let me drive it in FD. then we was like yeah  but if we run it, we're gonna take off the bomsex and either get a kouki front end or an erebuni shogun for the sheer stupidness, can't go running up banked ovals and shit with a $600 front bumper...or can i?

so he would be owner, and i = driver. that's kinda like being sponsored...except i have to pay for car parts and tires and shit. eh, whatever, if it actually works out it should be pretty sweet. he let me slide in it once....WOW 400hp + LSD = awesome. i did however annihilate a couple of his tires and had to get him some newused ones.

theres a big ass open parking lot between exits 221 and 218 off the interstate. its a flea market parking lot, but its HUGE and since theyre always closed 4 days a week, it might be ez scheduling something on a weekday if theyre down

I think I know which one you are talking about. If so...its actually an old car auction and, yes, it is massive. But we've already checked into it. The lot is under contract to be sold to a car dealership.
