Media Crew needed for August 6th : Savannah Demo

Post by Rhoad Racing »

If anyone would like to help with media coverage for the SEDA drift exhibition in Savannah this weekend, please let us know. We need about three vid cameras and atleast one photographer. Unfortunetly, none of us are getting paid for the exhibition, thus, none of the media crew will either. Matter fact....it may actually cost you $20 to gain media access at the track. However, I'm calling the track tonight to see if we can get you guys in for free.

Time schedule:
The convoy will leave Atlanta at precisely 1pm on Friday (August 5th) for our four hour journey to the Hardeeville Motor Speedway (just outside of Savannah on the S.C. side). The team will have a 30 minute practice session on Friday. Friday night we will either stay at a hotel or stay at my parent's house. The cost of the Hotel will run each person about $15 or so. My parent's house will of course be free, but it is 1.5hrs away from the track.
Saturday will be the exhibition in which we'll hit the track somewhere in between 8pm-8:30pm. The exhibition will last 20mins (+/-).

Each car in the convoy will probably have an extra seat so you probably won't have to drive. I know that I will have atleast one extra seat in my car. Chad and Erin might also, but I doubt martymartymarty.net will.

I'll post up more info as soon as I get it. But if you are interested let me know so we can start planning.

EDIT: I just talked to the track and we are able to get a media crew of 4 in for free 8)

lol, we could pull out there and do some burnouts and donuts and the crowd would probably go wild with where this place is  .

me and martymartymarty.net where talking about that earlier today; will the crowd enjoy what we are showing them. I believe it could go either way. They may think that we are just a bunch of kids doing burnouts and donuts or they may actually see the skill involved.
Lets hope that they are tired of watching cars go around in circles all night and ready to see something different.

and chris, what about having people from the crowd get ridealongs or something? like some sort of contest maybe? probably too late to really get that going but it's a thought :?:

I might be if I have time. Keiran will return from you his trip from S.C. tomorrow. So I would like to pick up some tires too.
What size do you need?

I'd like to have some people ride with us given that the track would allow that. We can run that by Ronnie (the track manager) on Friday when we get there.
