The new Project finally started...
some of you may remember when over a year ago i bought that Mercedes W208 CLK, i decided to give it to Francesca and we just started the built.
Stripped it in the last two days, gearbox is out, was automatic and now i have to talk to my engine builder if its worth to usw the original 3.2L V6 engine or if we should put a 1JZ in it or some else... The engine has barely 220HP stock und i would like to give her ~300 dunno if it works with that engine, if yes the plan is to put a supercharger on it too...
It will get a FIA Certificated Cage by the end of the year, maybe over christmas.
It'll be in white color wÃth brown roof and grafix and she already ordered a nice body kit, i hope its not tooo crappy fiberglass shit...

That's gonna be nice.
That wiring harness must have weighed a few hundred pounds! It's massive!

Jepp it was/is a 320 CLK which usually have fully options... Everybody tells me "this car is gonna be heavy" but i think it wont be much heavier than the E36... Same wheelbase, weight and stuff...
Removed all the windows today, now i am preparing the shell for the cage builder and things come together, a friend called me, he might get a MK3 Supra with 1JZ Manual setup for ~2000€ shell is rusted but engine/tranny everything is good so looks like its gonna be another JZ swap

Made some kind of steering support for the CLK, it had electric adjustment and lock and stuff, after i removed all that it was wobbling and not really safe. So i machined a tube with a bearing on each end.
And today i testfitted the seat and the steering to the car.
I'll have to weld a bracket to the tube where the ties are now. But i cant do that at work cause i am ill at home...

Pretty sure that motor could handle 300hp. The Kleeman kit for those cars puts out nearly 350hp if memory serves right.Freddy2k wrote:The engine has barely 220HP stock und i would like to give her ~300 dunno if it works with that engine, if yes the plan is to put a supercharger on it too...
