Did I start a trend?

So, in early 2007 I got some wheels which everyone said were atrocious at the time:

15x8 -19 Summit Racing US Wheel Type 92 for $45 each. Basically a Cragar Soft 8 design with a chrome lip and some fake 3-piece bolts. The same shit that guys have been running on circle track and muscle cars for 100 years.

Shortly thereafter, my buddy Justin bought a set of Diamond Racing wheels for his "doublewide" 240

Then a guy Jason we know got some for his "bathtub"

And now I see them everywhere:

I know that I don't win a prize or anything, but I've just been wondering if this is a trend that my friends and I started in our quest for disposable, cheap, good-looking and well-fitting wheels. Anybody?

I love those wheels. I hate when people hate on'm cause they're cheap. Who cares! They look metal and they fit rad!

If I ever get another daily that is more MPG friendly... I will prolly snag a set of them. I think they're rad!

i'm all for cheapo wheels, just nobody makes cheapo 14 stuff, so i have to buy old ass wheels with low offsets. nice problem to have i guess.

I dont think anyone personally starts any trends. Its a collective movement of style from one fad to the next.

My uncle made up the word "homeslice" one day at my house, then I heard it in Encino Man.
