A cage would have probably made the injuries worse. Without proper safety equipment, a cage represents more points of impact for the body in a crash. Until you really mess with a piece of true roll bar padding, you don't understand how really hard it really is.quazar311 wrote:A cage helps slow deformation of the car crushing in on you.ProjctGrlDrftr wrote:Those seriously made me dick at my stomach... Nicks lucky he didn't have more injuries his side had a lot more damage... Sad that something as simple as a cage would have prevented some of the injuries.. Maybe someday people will realize no matter if the car will be being raced or not if you have that much HP put a cage in it regardless because you never know when that HP will be used..
A cage might not have prevented injuries... with alot of cars even cages with padding is dangerous because your head could still be striking a solid object that barely has padding on it. The padding was made to help absorb impacts with a helmet on.
Common sense would have prevented it all from happening.. especially his friend not wearing a seatbelt.

Does it matter either way?ProjctGrlDrftr wrote:Ok correct me if I'm wrong but all those comments are saying that it was Nick's car, I thought it was his Dad's car?
Well just that they were saying well he shouldn't have bought him the car.. when he didn't.. eh either way i'm sure they would probably say something else, nevermind *sigh* lolmartymartymarty.net wrote:Does it matter either way?ProjctGrlDrftr wrote:Ok correct me if I'm wrong but all those comments are saying that it was Nick's car, I thought it was his Dad's car?
