I agree! I still sit in the car amazed at how everything fits so well. It was worth every red cent! I'm wicked happy with it!
driftPANDAspl wrote:hey, at least its not 30,000 like in GT4.
Bwaahahaha... that actually makes me feel a li'l bit better about it, lol!

Ya man! I snagged it offa eBay for about $70. When I FOERST got the car I couldn't find one for under $110, so I felt like $70 was a steal. That thing is bigger than all my Haynes manuals for previous/other cars combined, lol. I've seen smaller phone books... bwaahaha.

Yes you can, just look at your credit card slip! They did an awesome job. I knew you would love the difference. Cages rock!

well, my cage is ordered... of course i'm going the cheaper route since i'm not too worried about insane high speed impacts, although i probably will weld the rear half of the cage in and add some bits to it :D .

andy, that is an amazing job they did. i wish every day i had the pipe bender and tubing to just fab my own

Its not about high speed impacts more about whacking your head on a bar from an ill fitting cage. Something as little as being rearended could hurt you badly even with padding on it. As we all know Andy is one tall DriftMechanik and with a lame-o-meter bolt in cage that could mean DEATH. or you could just wear your helmet all the time that would be cool

She drifts like a li'l goKart! It doesn't want to step out quite as easy... but then once it's out there it's solid! I can't wait to get the diff back in!

Well, my clutch problem is on it's way to being solved. I decided to snag a lightweight flywheel while we'll be up in there.

UUC Motorwerks Stage II Lightweight Flywheel (8.5 lbs):

E34 ///M5 OEM Sprung-Hub Clutch:

From what I've been reading, UUC customers have been using the Stage 2 & M5 clutch setup in turbo or supercharged E36 M3s and MZ3s and reliably handling an excess of 450hp. This should be just what I need, considering my car has considerably less horsepower, but I give it a thourough "bang bang bang"! It's also nice, because of the piece of mind that comes with knowing a replacement clutch is never any further away than an authorized BMW parts counter.

The flywheel shipped today, so hopefully everything will be in the car sometime next week. 16 days until FD ATL, so I have to jump on this now!
:D

Next on the list... HEADERS!!!

night and day difference from stock heavy flywheel i'd wager. what does the stock one weight out of curiosity? i would assumbe about double what the new one does. when i had the miata the lightweight flywheel was one of the best mods i did to that car, just helped the little engine out so much as far as throttle response went and how quickly it revved.

The OEM flywheel weighs about 26 lbs, I beleive... the UUC flywheel is a third of that!! I can't wait to get it in there... especially the clutch, lol. ;)

I've seen a video of the tachometer with and without this flywheel installed, and the difference was pretty extreme!
