Mainly if you ever want to make prints or are shifting between different rigs when you edit (office/home etc).

Yeah but if you ever get to a point where you want to print it or some dude calls you up like yo I'll give you 1000k for that pic for this magazine you want it to be corrected on a calibrated monitor. I've had pantones I know are blue look green and such due to shitty monitors.
