And the transmission arrives in the mail tomarrow....at my Grandma's house. (where I crash at when I head back to FL for my time off)

well, good news and bad news....

The transmission has a cracked seal or something, the seller didnt drain it before he shipped it via UPS, so now oil is all over Grandma's driveway. But I was already going to have to rebuild it anyways.




Also, I have found what I'm going to use for my hood ornament to replace the Pentastar.

And also....I'm kicking around the idea of running the new Hemi sometime in the future. Lighter engine, more power = better.

Well Day 1 of the teardown has ended.

Notable happenings:

my camera's battery dies after filming the FOERST 20 minutes of work...or lack thereof.

Header panel is now cracked just above the driver-side turn signal bezel, right at the corner.

Ground sinks underneath right front jackstand, car falls of jackstands....bends jack slightly.

Car is now in the air, the front bumper (+ shocks) is off, headlights and buckets and trim is out.....and that's about it so far. Front sheetmetal comes off tomarrow, as well as the seats.

that front bumper was HEAVY too, it and the bumper shocks all together had to weigh about 100 pounds.

the Bumper shocks were 85% of the weight, they're about 30 pounds each. at least I should get something from the Scrap dealer on Wednesday, I might cut the cats off before I go so I can get some more.

I wanna see what paint ideas ya'll come up with.

yeah, I was looking at my earlier pictures of it and I never got a really good side shot of the car, I can post the front & rear pics if you want them too.
