You're still rawkin' your G4 tower, right? I'm fairly sure those can screen span right out the box. You may need a $19 mini-vga/mini-dvi to vga or something... but I think all you would need is another screen, then click "detect displays" from the monitor tab in your sys prefs.

Apple locked the spanning feature on the iMacs for some weird reason. I had to get a $300 adapter for my machine and execute an open-firmware hack to allow the span. It took a minute to set up, but was well worth it - ESPECIALLY for editing video.

The dual monitor setup is so fwaaking rad. I can't beleive I waited THIS long to set this up.

Check into your video card, Tylorrr. I'm fairly sure your machine can span right out tha box!

Cody... if you want to rawk it, holler & I can help set it up. You'd need the VGAtor adaptor and a $19 mini-vga to vga connector from the Apple Store.

cool, i'll definately let you know. it'll probably be a while though, too poor to even buy the adaptor right now (much less an extra monitor and all that).
