It's interesting to me that there is no diagonal in the main hoop/harness bars. Any idea as to an explanation of why? Just curious.

ouch, there are some really really interesting storys about them. with faked homologatin certificates and stuff like that. I need to tell ya some time.

the cage in my e34 m5 was made by herrmann motorsport too. nice welding and it´s really close to the chassis, so i chose them again
