I wonder if all the beating on it has caused something to come loose sensor wise, or if maybe it's caused a short when you cause hard shifts laterally?? only problems with that is the sheer amount of work required to find a short in your harness or a sensor that could cause it to hit limp mode. Considering you've replaced everything solid bushing wise the increased vibrations over time could be the culprit...
Dunno I'll keep pondering it, I'm having a load of my own problems to trouble shoot lately.

Wiring seems to be on the top of the list.

you might want to call a bmw specialist, they have a computer that they can hook up to check and see (its not like the normal one that you can get in autozone or anything like that).
findin a short would SUCK! at that point i would rather re-wire the whole damn car and eliminate things that are useless...
have used asked Turner if they had anything like this with their BMWs?

There is no chance to reprogramm the ecu or rewire the whole system, i am working on trike engineering like i said and i have a ford Engine in one of the trikes with stock ecu i have to keep the 100 PIN!!! Connector, i only need 5 cables of that connector but i have to loop or bypass the other 95 Cables that engine runs without limp mode...

There are plenty of computers like that here in Gwinnett, but for fear of losing my job. I can't help Andy in that way, otherwise I would. I will however keep passing information on such as wiring diagrams and anything else needed from their website.

Everbody pitch in and this is ALL Andy would never need to find shit out on his car. There are cheaper but that is an option.

So am I reading that right? I can customize my ecu with that thing... and take out items that don't need to be in the system? Like ABS/DSC? Or am I tripping... and that's what I want to read.

Basically when we replace a new module, we have to code or program it to the car. Remember like we talked about before, your era of car got a lot more evolved, because they started implementing rolling codes for your transmission module. But in a way you can reprogram, but its more of a update reprogram, you can deactivate certain features, i will ask today if abs and dsc can be. Usually we just deactivate/reactivate door locks, keys, lights, and other small things.

The gt1 head is the yellow device, but Im sure you were trying to make a funny Greg, so I will leave you be.
Andy I will give you a call later, if/when I find out anything about that question. If need be we can make that happen to where you have that as a household item. JUST SAY THE WORD!!
