Right now... the traction control is off when I start the car up. I don't have to disable it. On a normal e46, this only happens when something is broken.

The weird thing to me, is that at Triple Threat on Sunday... I had two runs in the morning that were perfectly fine. Then I tried to initiate in 3rd... the car tripped back into gay-mode... and from there on out, I could reset it - but it would fall right back into it.

I'm going to try and pull the wheel speed sensors tonight. I don't really have anywhere to 'test' the car to see if it goes back into limp mode... which could be a problem - especially considering how loud the car is.

:( i wonder if you could stick it on the dyno? is it a movemental thing or just straightline or what? the onyl thing I can think of is a dyno because you're moving in place at higher speeds...other than a track throwing it around.

trac off is better than trac on. I know on the Chevy Colorado, trac control is on every time you start the damn thing, and you have to turn it off every time. worst trac control evar.

I dunno WTF trips it off. I can reset it, and drive it fine (like down the hill at Road Atlanta)... then as soon as I initiate... welcome to Sucktown... population: my car.

That's the way my car normally is. I have to hold the DSC button for 5 seconds every time I turn the car on.

As it stands now... I don't have to. But that's because something is setting it off... and probably directly related to the limp mode bs.

the part that kills me is that it ran fine at road atl practice, then we install new shit, and it's fucked :(... but i can't come up with a good reason that just having the hydro e-brake in there would cause that. even if yanking the brake freaks it out, after resetting everything and not using it the thing should act normal.

Andy, having the back of the car jacked up and in gear should trick the
computer into thinking you lost traction. Maybe that can help you duplicate the condition.
