The only thing cooler than the designs themselves is the fact that Ducati used the period correct logos for when each of the homage bikes were in production.

just got around to watching this. Was a pretty rad video and fairly well done. I couldn't get over the terrible colors from all the night footage. It would have looked sooo much better (in my opinion anyways) if they'd gotten the white balance correct and the colors looked good so they could have graded it in post. Also OH MY that Lincoln continental. I WILL one day own one of those and put a super torquey turbo diesel in it and make a badass blacked out cruiser...

I remember the Hoo-Rah Rah and the Funk Baybay telling me that it was actually cheaper to insure a Duc than most of the sport bikes. Apparently, since so many idiots get the cheaper bikes and fuck them up, the incident ratios are way higher. I guess the extra money involved in the cost also translates to extra care taken of it. I see them aaalll the time here and I have to wipe my mouth just about every time.

Yup, that's part of the reason I keep gravitating towards them. I think even back when I was 21 a duc would only have added about $85 a month to my insurance. That and they really aren't any more expensive than any other similarly-sized bike on the road. A new 696 will run you about 8k depending on options and dealer haggling. And for a kick ass italian sportbike that's not bad at all.
