probably a stupid question, but.......being that there is a BMW in the truck could you call BMW roadside assistance for some help?

somebody in bama has gas we just need to convince them to give it up. maybe siphon some of those abandoned cars??????? of course they are probably abandoned for that reason.

gas gods help this traveller!

Yes yes... Chris and family made it my way with 18 gallons of the sweetest gasoline I have ever spilled on myself pouring it into the truck.

THANK YOUUUUU CHRIS, SHARON, AND FORD!!!! It was way way awesome of you guys to drive all the way out there. It means a lot.
:D

That whole ordeal sucked like mad. This morning, my mom called me and told me she talked to a lady at a Chevron (my mom was calling around to different gas stations all night)... and she knew where gas was. So I had to go see her, and get directions to the "Luby's Quik Stop" about 5 miles down some podunk road. I was waaay on fumes when I got there. There was a huge line, and the pumps were pumping wicked slow. I waited about an hour and a half before I got to the pump. The guy in front of me got to fill up... but when I pulled up, there became a $10 limit. It was cash only... which I only had $11 on me. Did I mention that these people spoke some crazy backwoods language? It was bizarre.

So, with those three gallons... I went about 20 miles east on I20... and ran out again. Luckily for me - right at another rest area. I pulled in, and slept in the truck again until Chris made it out there.

Once we got to Tuscaloosa, there was gas. My mom told me that I was right at the tail end of the mass gas shortage... that it would still be in some places... but not as bad as it was through Mississippi.

What a mess. I'm so so soooo thankful to be back home, and out of that blasted truck. It's safe to say that the final Formula D trip went out with a bang.

I unloaded the e46 off the trailer and went out sliding just to celebrate being home in one piece.

No problem gee! Always here to help. I jumped at the chance to run blocker for a trucker bootleggin e46 back from Texarkana! Even if you did keep me from pickin up that bike. Hahahaha J/K I'll be pickin it up next weekend. I still can't believe how expensive the gas is now. I'll probably save enough on gas to pay for the bike! LOL

Alive indeed! To top things off... someone in my apartment complex let the air out of my rear tyres last night... I caught the passenger side tyre right off the bat... came back, changed it... and headed back to the highway. After redlining fourth gear on an interchange... I felt the car pulling again... so I pulled over - to find the other tyre flat.

I was stuck on the side of the road until Hooman came and rescued me with another tyre. WTF is gawn on?
