my vote is: new shifter handle.mikespeed95 wrote:that guitar neck better make its way into your car somehow.
ebrake handle.
passenger handle
fia spec rollcage padding
steering wheel replacement
volume adjustment for radio
on/off for partytime stroble lights and radio maximum volume
free candy
something
unhinged......no, not really.
They're going to take what I send them... strip them, and re-line them with the race lining. If you can snag a pair that would be AWESOME. I need to get up to SG and try and get a driver-side foglight assembly for my car too.kalifornia087 wrote:Andy do you need them as a core to send back or what? I can try and swindle a pair if theirs a trashed trailing arm or two at SG.
Okay... so I totally forgot about this. I was talking to Kieran, and he said we should be able to plumb these into the existing lines pretty easy. I know I wanted to stay away from doing that, because there are times that I use my foot brake and my e-brake at the same time (which I've read will lock until the pressure regulates or something).matts13 wrote:

Maybe this is the route I need to go... and the route I need to go ASAP.
Thoughts?

i've only had the brakes go funny on me one time using the foot pedal and handbrake at the same time, and i do it a lot. it was at nashville where i was doing it every single run and i was really cramming on the brakes for that entry. a few pumps and they were back to normal.
as for plumbing... do you have a single line that runs to the rear of the car or two lines? most ABS cars i've seen have separate lines which would make it a bit of a bitch to plumb.

could always do a cutting brake setup and connect both handles together, haha.andysapp wrote:Yeah I'm pretty sure it is two separate lines. I'll have to get under the car and see.

edit:
wow the dual handle model isn't bad if these prices are legit. dual handle/dual cylinder model with 3/4" cylinders for $126. my single was $100 when i got it, lol.

You're a vag if you don't do it Mike Ranlet style.

But, if your cable Ebrake works don't bother with a hydro. I ran one because I had no choice for Ebrake, but I'm probably going to seperate my hyrdo from the foot lines and weld on another bracket for a supplemental caliper for the rear the way the Vipers do it.
If you have 4-channel ABS, you'll have one line per corner. You need to merge these into a single to go in and out and then split them again before the rear of the car. It's not that hard, just more work.

same plan I have for the GS. for the time being i super ghetto rigged my ebrake PEDAL.. into a PUSH type lever on the center console. hard to visualize probably and i dont have any pix.. but you guys will see in atlanta. it also sucks having the drum ebrake.. so second caliper is coming soon.

his drums don't work worth a damn so a hydro would work much better in his case. he needs the cutting brake so he can steer while doing wheelstands.
That's how I would like to do it, but I don't know if I have time to try and do that. Especially since I have zero experience with fabrication.mranlet wrote:probably going to seperate my hyrdo from the foot lines and weld on another bracket for a supplemental caliper for the rear the way the Vipers do it.

It's easy:
1 - Put the - from one car battery to the + of another
2 - Put the - from the second battery to the metal
3 - Use a jumper cable to go from the + of the FOERST battery to a coat hanger
4 - Touch coat hanger to metal until it fits
5 - Stand back when batteries blow up
