I'm not online much these days. Keep me in the loop with the travel plans and I'd love to carpool with y'allz.

10-4, buddy!
I was reading on the site, that the gloves can be anything full-fingered. I might just wear my race gloves hahaha. Got a $99 DOT helmet on the way, along with a pair of boots I ordered off Zappos. I hate that I had to try and order something without trying them on... but I won't have time to go shopping before the class. Out of town this weekend for the 4th, and shit is closed before and after I get out of work. Hopefully they fit well.

if not you can ship them back for free. they have a warehouse in ky so it should get there pretty fast. everytime i order shoes from them they get "upgraded" to 2 day shipping.

I didn't see your post for some reason - but that is exactly what they did. They actually overnighted me BOTH pair. The ones that were too large, and the ones that ultimately fit. Zappos is so awesome.

I think we'd all agree that it was. Was way fun doing it with the bros and they def opened our eyes up to a lot of stuff. Also gave us some sweet tight u-turn skillz.

Haha, I hated that u-turn, lol.
But yea, I definitely agree that it was worth it. Went in knowing a few things but left with way more knowledge.

For SURE worth it! License aside... I learned a lot about things I would never have thought about otherwise. One of the biggest would be about managing risks to stay safe... that crashes are almost always a result of several unsafe factors. Factors that by themselves don't pose much of a threat, but when combined with others become catalysts for bad things.
Also, another big thing I learned was not to grab the throttle with an ape-like grab... but keep your wrist flat when you grab it. That way you only have so much pull before your wrist stops turning. So if something bad happens, it keeps you from giving the back an ass-load of throttle and making the situation infinitely worse.
Just two of many. I will totally take this class again.

I'd still really be interested in the dirt bike class at some point, or maybe one of the second level regular MSF courses with your own bike. The dirt bikes seem really fun though (but not in the summer, haha).
