Hahaha... yeah man! That was mad fun! A rad way to ring in the new year! My car was acting a li'l different with 245.45.18's in the front and three people in the car.
A VERY VERY SPECIAL THANKS to everyone who came out to spend New Years slideways!!! I didn't expect all of you to come out... but it really meant a lot to me that you guys all came out. It was awesome!!!
I still can't believe Tyler got the Impreza sideways and I missed it! I'm glad he corrected & countered out of it.
*Side note: Tire Flys RULE! I got laughed at by a Civic on the way home 'cause they were still on the car! Bwaaahahaha!

tonight was awesome although a little bit scary. i was right behind tyler. my heart dropped to the floorboard when i saw him go sideways. i know he's done it a million times in the honda but the scoob is different. i was even a little concerned about my own speed but thankfully angels were around. three of them actually, named "A", "W" and "D."
i had a temporary flashback to when i was 16 and only a week after i got my license. i was cutting up with a friend of mine and we came over a hill too fast. when i topped the hill all i saw was his truck sliding all over the place. when i saw him out of control i panicked like any 16 year old idiot would and slammed on the brakes. no abs in the pontiac. he wasn't in a suby either. it was more like a longbed F150. to make a long story short he shattered a rim on a curb and i had a blowout when i dropped my rear tire off the road. no serious damage though, except for my ego. tyler you are awesome for maintaining your composure. it's a true judge of skill. i'm glad tonight went as it did.
oh yeah, i apologize about the shit talking cody. halo (and vodka) does something to me. it turns me into a monster.
for what it's worth you had a nice slide before you headed out. to be honest i was paranoid as hell about the cops too. i think you missed both of my little powerslides.
and if i remember correctly i was the only one who did the firecracker! well it's really late and i'm tired and probably not making much sense. so happy new year's drift mechaniks! i look forward to an awesome year ahead. Manji or die 2005!

it's cool charlie, it takes more than that to offend me
. but yea, i sorta wish i would've stayed around for a while longer but i'm also one of those paranoid people, and figured i'd ditch out quick. round 2 at wal-mart went pretty well too though, even though we didn't stay there very much longer. overall i had a blast thoguh, and hopefully that set us up for an awesome year of sliding
.

Hahaha... oh yeah - I forgot: the e46 is officially a drift car now. I may have hit part of a tree.MTRLevolution wrote:that sucks about the tree branch incident. oh well, your car's tough, she can take it!
I'll see what I can do. Since the lot had no light - the cameras couldn't focus. I knew the footage wouldn't fair too well... but there are a few decent shots.Fcman wrote:Andy, when should we be expecting the footage?
No worries man! We'll rawk it out next year! Sorry to hear the ImportAtlanta/WhirlyBall party wasn't much fun. We definitely missed you out there!icantdrift wrote:now that i've read how great it was i'm even more pissed that i missed it. i ended up going to the lamest new years eve party in the world and left at 12:01, went home and went to bed.
Hahaha... it almost didn't happen. Trying to get a group of us anywhere on a time schedule is near impossible. We left DMHQ2 @ 11:50 (20 minutes after we planned to leave) - and were trying to get to an undisclosed locale approximately 15 minutes away. I had to make an executive decision at the last minute to head to a new spot that was closer. We ended up with like two minutes to spare, lol.
