3. The judges did say that we should be pro drifters and drive the course the way it is, or take up practice time to change it. I believe the people of this forum as well as myself take issue with that attitude and/or decision. Unfortunately NOPI is responsible for the opinions and views as well as the decisions and comments of its employees. I feel the judges were out of line and irresponsible in the handling of the situation regarding the original course design. Glen, I believe this forum is holding NOPI responsible for the comments of your judges.
Agreed. Everyone has to be real careful what they say since it is a reflection on the organization as a whole. I am the biggest offender when it comes to this, so I don't have much room to talk. This is something I am working on personally when it comes to our events. Just being more careful with what I say and how I say it.
It was a little unfair to single Andy out. I can vouch for Andy. He always has been and is especially now hard to get a hold of. His sidekick is a little B*tch. Sometimes I want to kick it's ass. I think his movie that has to be finished by next month takes a precident over anything right now.

public notice that you're stepping out of context to express personal thoughts and opinions that are relevant to the situation helps separate your ideas from that of an organization.
very few of us on here are keyboard drifters. i might be seen as one because i don't own a drift car.. but then again i don't desire to own one either.
..but i have enough engineering and racecar background to support my statements.

Yeah seeing as I've been at a large majority of events and helped out at all I've attended and driven in some I can easily agree with Eugene when he presents a valid safety concern, or even when he's just babbling on..

what a way to start posting here again
I talked to cody about this last night and something here bothers me. this isnt the FOERST time cars have got totally trashed I guess everyone forgot when nopi had the drift demo and the fence got hit and knocked into the bleachers? or at VIR when the main highspeed clipping point was towards a K-rail and somebody did hit it and totally screwed up a really nice RHD s13 silvia? Ive been helping run events for 5 years now and theres only been one accident and it was because the driver was showboating and refused to follow the course line but luckly nobody was hurt just the car. and you can say D1 has accidents and so does formula D but the difference is that they are pro's and they are going much faster and running tandem and they usually dont have such a poor course layout. i dont have any personal problems with tracy or the other people that run the nopi events but in my opinion i think they have alot more to learn about running the events and course layout. and Im more than willing to show them how.
again it sucks that my FOERST post here in almost 3 years is because a good friend of mine totaled his car
much love guys be safe

Hey 510 bre, NOPI has never had an event at VIR, not sure who that was.
The Drift Demo you are reffering to was the Dunlop Tires Drift Demo at the NOPI NATIONALS several years. Drift Fury nor NOPI had any control over that demo, as Dunlop paid to do it outside of the Atlanta Motor Speedway during the NOPI NATIONALS.
Also so you know, Tracy does not have anything to do with the NOPI DRIFT events, she does however run her own series, and compete in NOPI DRIFT.
So, according to some on here, FD and D1 have only professional drivers?
So what about those same guys that run at NOPI DRIFT? Are they not professional when they run with NOPI DRIFT?
Are Dan, Blake and the others not professionals when they beat those drivers?
Why would you only refer to the FD and D1 drivers as professionals, when 90% of the teams drifting with NOPI DRIFT are now competing for a Championship as well??????
