the only reason someone like me would want to go pro would be to drift all those crazy ass courses, turner is fun, but if i was invited to irwindale the same day...be fo real
what do you tell your friends who are dumping thousands of dollars into their daily driver thinking they are going pro soon, and will pick up sponsorships and stunt driving gigs... sure its been done...but uh..ahaha be lets be for real. how do i tell him he has 99% no chance without being a douche.
a text or video response please.

If you aren't hungry for it... and I mean HUNGRY... it's very very hard.
There are two sides to going "pro". The "I'm a great and/or the best driver" (read: podium) side... and the "I'm a marketable platform for your products" (read: ROI) side. Having one without the other will only get you so far. Some people with more marketability can get further... but in the end - I think that is the key factor.
That is one reason I feel I had some success in "pro" drifting. Marketing/advertising & design are what I put food on the table with... so I was able to take some of that skill-set and apply it to my motorsports endeavors.
One thing is DEFINITE: None if it is easy, and all of it costs money (read: a lot).

yeah, being marketable is key with a drifting, that and being a consistent top 16 driver
i wanna be an interviewer for riceboy tv, i think my charisma and energetic personality, with absolutely no fear of being in front of people, regardless of my pants on or off, could really get me places.
anyone got any phone numbers?
