Even this past year at FD Atlanta, I was kinda like... meh.
So weird.

Once corporate America sinks it's teeth into something, it will not let go until they drain it completely. A friend said 3 years ago or so that one day pro drifting will be like NASCAR. I denied that it would happen but I was a fool then. Immaturity has spread throughout and smeared the image of it all. I do not know anyone personally that has been involved in the pro world, and I am thankful for that. When the shit hits the fan and the major sponsors lose interest, those that truly care will still be around. There will still be small events here and there, but they will be twice as fun as anything else because everyone there will be doing it for the same reason. It's hella fun to hang out and do what you love.

You know what I remember was awesome?

Loading up the BMW with as many tyres as I could fit... and driving to places like Miami, Baltimore, Northern VA... drifting... and driving home.

ALSO... highway donuts in traffic driving the car to FDNJ05.

thats what i enjoy about the click up here in st louis. its the driving to events in your cars with stuff packed in. 8 or 9 deep in hotel rooms. just the fun and adventure of it. this is truly what the culture wasnt ment to be

Do what I do and ignore American pro drifting and just watch Doriten videos and go out and have fun breaking your car with friends...

I like FD for the fact that I get to go there and hang out w/ friends and watch some drifting. I just wish the cars looked cooler and we would see some new faces out there. Sometimes practice is more interesting to me than the actual event.

Something got lost in translation for drifting I guess.

you know what, fd atl this year was the FOERST time i went to an fd event. i really did enjoy watching foresburg and gitten during practice. i agree with you i think practice was pretty much the best to watch, except maybe the moduant gitten matchup. so ill be back at fd atl this upcoming year to hang with the homies and get another sunburn

yes, yes, and yes. driving that thing back home from NJ was one of the most uncomfortable things ever at the time, but damn, it was an entertaining trip. i still hate jersey though.

and yea, pro drifting has gone down the drain. i won't even get started with it, but things used to be way better. i'll stop there.
