Need help with antivrus shitz...

So my roomates laptop is getting hit with some kind of virus right now. Her subscription to Norton is expired and she doesn't want to renew because of cost (I don't actually know how much it is).

I've heard of a few free anti-v's that are pretty good but i don't acutally remember any of them lol. Can anybody steer me in the right direction? Maybe even throw a few out there and give an opinion on them?

Any help is appreciated!

Make sure to download and run the Norton Removal Tool to get rid of every file that belongs to Norton or you may run into issues with the new stuff.
