my car is alive again!!!!
yup, at about 3:45 am this morning, my 240 started up for the FOERST time in about 2 and a half months. we've been working on the swap since saturday but today was the day when the motor finally went in, and after a little messing around (hooking up a loose wire to the starter and bypassing the alarm), she started up perfectly. the new motor idles dead on and sounds like it's gonna be real smooth. it'll still be a few days before i have it out on the road again (gotta hook up the s-afc2, boost controller, turbo timer, shifter, re-assemble the interior, and do a few other little things) but i am extremely happy for the progress that's been made so far. huge thanks goes out to everyone that's been helping (mike, barry, ed, andy, rox, chad, and even jerry for a second) as there is no way that i could've done any of this stuff on my own.
oh, and i've been trying to document the entire process so pics and maybe vids should hopefully be posted in a few days.

I agree.
Even though I wasn't able to be there very long....when I was there, Mike was always on top of everything (and under in some cases).
I tip my hat to your sir. well done.....to all you guys!

I normally don't post, but I have to this time. Thanks for the compliments, but without all the extra hands (thanks everyone!), the crazy hacksawer and the unlimited supply of Fanta, we wouldn't have started her up last night (or this morning). And Michael, I'm ready for the Soul Calibur rematch. And if my controller is still not working and I lose again, then we will have to take it to Tekken 4. And for my brother, I did call you, Mom told me I just missed you. Sorry about that one. Next projects, M3 swap for Andy, Sti swap for Barry, Hayabusa engine for Jerry, pocket bike overhaul for Chris and Michael well........... we'll just have to convince him to get rid of the Honda. Just kidding. Thanks again everyone, but we still have a couple little things to finish on the 14 before Cody goes out and blows this one up.
congratz man, glad to hear your car is back. mine will be soon as well. i'm pulling the motor out tomorrow if its not raining. then i'm going to order the new motor on Monday if i can have mine pulled tomorrow. wish me luck. right now my time frame to get it running is by mid sept the latest.
