Formula D Summit Point - Update

Post by andysapp »

The track up here is intense! VERY high speed entry. It is nuts. When JR said it separates the men from the boys - he wasn't kidding. A lot of people had car troubles today. I think Hubinette ran twice, before pulling back into the pits. Ben Schwartz wrecked pretty bad. I dunno if that car is salvagable. He came in hot on turn one, and initiated late... flying off course, and right into the wall.

Chris Cook was on point, qualifying 2nd I beleive. Miki Ryuji was top qualifier. Bill Sherman is killing it again.

A lot of the privateer guys were doing really well. Doug Van Den Brink, Tommy Suell, Joon Maeng, and Blake Fuller all qualified.

Tomorrow is going to be crazy. I'll try and keep ya'll posted!

i didnt get in until late friday night, so we just went on saturday.. no ben schwartz in sight, so i guess they pulled out after the hit, i didnt even know he was there. the annoncers were saying something about millen hitting prety hard on friday too, and having to put the car back together.

i saw the incident with JR in the borrwed s13 and tyler mcquarrie. tyler nudged him entering the turn, just a lil contact with the front bumper to rear bumper and it sent JR in to the wall.

like andy said, the track was intense. i HAVE to drive it sometime.. 8)

bill got robbed again...i was mad. I started a judges booing section after that. It really was the only noise to come from the crowd all day.

I feel bad though because i have now boo'd towards Sam and Rhys :D

Bill was once again robbed... but his time will come - I see him on the podium by the end of the season NO DOUBT.

The track looked hella fun, but way intense on the entry and 1st turn.

This venue wasn't very spectator friendly. You couldn't see the entire course from anywhere. The runs were all so far apart, that it actually got kinda boring. There were two points where drifting stopped for over 30 minutes during the main event.

EVERYONE was having car problems. Casper Canul blew his motor, as did Kenji. Forsberg either broke a half-shaft, or had his drivetrain seize up. Tuerck broke 2 throttle-bodies. Samuel broke his car, then fixed it... as did Rhys. Tommy Suell had some motor issues. Kyle Mohan had ignition issues. It really was crazy.
