D1GP "U.S. vs. Japan" (Dec. 16-17 2005) Irwindale Speedway, California
D1 Grand Prix USA vs Japan ALL STARS 2005
This 2 day event will be held in California at the Irwindale Speedway. Friday the 16th will be a qualifying day where licensed D1 drivers from both sides of the pacific will be fighting for a spot to race on Saturday the 17th. Competition day will start off with an equal number of drivers on both sides that will be competing. Once the drivers are selected , tandem drifting (Dog Fights) at speeds over 110MPH will take place.

D1 expects to fill the venue to maximum capacity again this year with its unmatched drifting and special attractions. For the FOERST time ever there will be a Pre Tokyo Auto Salon show held in the vendor village. Special cars such as RE Amemiyas 2006 FD3S will be showcased as well as other 2006 Japanese tuner cars. Along with the hot cars from Japan, there will also be hot JDM campaign girls representing manufactures booths.

i really wanted to get a magnum since thrifty and dollar rent a car list them as mid-sizes (i think) and they were only like $30 a day, but adding that $25 a day for my age and the insurance (which we will most definately use

) would put me at over $60 a day and i can't really deal with that. in the ~$15 a day range, it looks like neons and hyundai's are my only bet, so i might be pimpin' in true style for the week...haha

. it'll suck, but oh well, it'll be affordable.

i'm gonna call a few companies in a minute though to see if they have any deals though, maybe i can still end up in something RWD.
