i wish i could remember how pulled mine off because they came off super easy and i didn't beat them up.quazar311 wrote:we gotta remove the mouldings carefully and then refinish them.. you can remove them without killing them.revel wrote:will be nice to have it running again. then basically strip it to nothing (removing glass and mouldings too) for paint. finding new glass mouldings should prove to be "fun" and by "fun" i mean a serious fucking headache.

well if i can locate some brand new from toyota mouldings you know i am getting them. already need to replace front glass....plus where the electrical connection hooks to on the rear glass is broken off the glass itself so prolly not a bad idea to replace it as well. good thing is that stuff is still a few months away. right now my concern is getting intercooler pipes made, new radiator hoses, and re-doing the oil cooler lines so the car will atleast run again....oh and putting the manual rack conversion in and testing wheel turn clearnace on the front fenders.

Re: ~ Post a Picture of Your Ride ~
working on that as well. tryin to set a date with matt to test fit the nismo power brace. if it bolts up then the front is straight enough and thus no need to go cutting half of it off and welding new pieces on. so if it is straight enough its just replacing the bent arms, slapping in the LCA bushings, fresh alignment, new front fenders, put headlights on and wire them up (see what bulbs need replacing), then get it painted

Just saw this, I'd be down to do your new intercooler pipes and what not if you're up for it. I could definitely use the work!

Re: ~ Post a Picture of Your Ride ~
seeing classy byron sans beard in chad sig is kinda starting to freak me out...........................
and now for pics;
found out my front end was straight enough to accept the nismo powerbrace. said bye bye to the tension rods that i have had since shell #1 since the driver side got fairly bent and replaced with new pbm ones. also replaced the driver side bent inner tie rod with a straight one. then got fresh alignment. huge thanks to matt aka foerst motorwerks for everything. cant wait to see if the car drives any different.

and pic of the rear suspension parts since i dont think i have taken any since all the pbm parts were installed (everything orange=pbm, also the gold subframe risers are pbm)

and some weird subframe brace that seems much stouter then the stock flimsy thing (its the blue thing)
